Love It Or Leave It speaks to the act of taking and defacing
photographs of the Australian landscape. The photographs document sites of historical indigenous violence. The negatives are then scratched and hole punched, causing irreparable damage to the photograph. These deliberate ssures allude to the erasure of
Australian indigenous histories in contemporary society.
This work challenges preconceived constructs of place and identity and their relationship with our ever-shifting socio-political climates.
This installation was created as part of the RMIT Graduate exhibition, 2019.
